How it ends

Edie, Finn and Cat escape the rovers and the Crib. Edie creates a decrypter that is fused to Finn’s splinter. He has a choice to use it to remove his dependence on Edie, or to help Edie use it to free the Fringe planets from their dependence on the Crib. Finn chooses to help Edie.

Last words

‘Fin?’

‘Edie.’

‘Don’t let me out of your sight.’

Hook-ups, break-ups and deaths

  • Finn and Edie are attracted to each other but nothing much happens beyond a bit of kissing.
  • Lots of characters die. Edie, Finn and Cat survive, along with three minor crew members.

FYI

  • There are some gory parts, although they’re not too graphic
  • The technology revolves around connecting to data via mechanical, electronic and biochemical means
