How it ends

Taylor and Jonah fall in love. Chaz, Raffy, Taylor and Jonah are friends for life. Hannah was with Taylor’s mother, helping her to get clean. Taylor’s mother has cancer, and Hannah brings her home to spend her last few weeks with Taylor.

Last words

A house for Tate and Narnie and Jude and Fitz and for their families.

Where they would all belong or long to be.

A place on the Jellicoe Road.

Hook-ups, break-ups and deaths

  • Taylor and Jonah end up together, although they’ll have a long-distance relationship until Taylor finishes high school.
  • It’s implied that Hannah and the Brigadier end up together.
  • Taylor’s mother dies.
  • Taylor drowns a dying cat, although it’s portrayed as a bit of a mercy killing.

  • There’s a not very graphic sex scene
  • Hannah, the Brigadier, Taylor’s parents, the Hermit and Chaz’s dad all feature in the flashbacks
  • The serial killer is caught, but the killer’s identity is only significant to Taylor, Jonah and the Brigadier
